ABOUT US
Learn more about UConn's premier South Asian fusion acapella group!
We are Husky Hungama, UConn’s only South Asian Fusion A Capella group, consisting of 4-part harmony and vocal percussion that fuses together popular South Asian music with Western songs. Through our music, we are proud to represent the personal histories of many of our members and spread our culture across the UConn community and beyond.

We are a performance-based group that performs both on campus and locally around Storrs, as well as around the country. We are part of the UConn A Cappella Association (UCACA) and the Pan Asian Council (PAC) and perform at various events associated with those groups including the UCACA Rush Concerts, Spookappella and Asian Nite. Outside of UConn, we have been invited to and performed at many universities including Yale, UMass Amherst, Columbia and more.
In February 2024, we hosted our first ever Benefit Concert for Asha for Education- a nonprofit organization that catalyzes socioeconomic change in India through the education of underprivileged children. All 10 UCACA groups joined us in this event, and we were able to raise over $1.1k, all of which went right back to Asha for Education. We are so happy to have made this an annual event and continue to support this wonderful charity for years to come.

In 2022, we released our debut EP "Moments" on all major streaming platforms. Our team is extremely grateful and proud to share our music in such a public way, and hope to continue to do so for years to come. We are always open to growing our team and are open to anyone who is interested in joining our sound!
